Special Program: Minh Hanh's Fashion Show

Addition to the public lecture by Ms. Minh Hanh, we will hold her fashion show as one of our special programs.

Fashion show featuring two cultures

Ms. Minh Hanh is a leading fashion designer in Vietnam fusing ao dai and traditional embroideries inherited among ethnic minorities, and exhibits her work and features of Vietnamese culture across the world.

This time she will blend together the traditional fabrics of Japan and Vietnam into her design, and show them here in Fukuoka city.

Kego Shrine becomes a fashion show site

Kego ShrineThe show will stage at Kego Shrine in Tenjin, Fukuoka. Located in the heart of downtown Tenjin, Kego Shrine is worshipped as the tutelary god of Fukuoka with over 400 years of history. On the ground of this shrine lies a gravestone of used needles "Harinohi".

To appreciate needles indispensable to Ms. Minh Hanh's making of clothes, this particular location was chosen for the event.

It will definitely be a one-of-a-kind fashion event with beautiful Vietnamese models walking down the shrine runway.

Admission is free and no advance registration required. Don't miss this unique opportunity!
