"The Assassin" wins eight awards at 10th Asian Film Awards

The Award Ceremony of the 10th Asian Film Awards organized by the Hong Kong International Film Festival was held in Macao on March 17th.

"The Assassin" directed by Taiwan's filmmaker Hou Hsiao Hsien, won 8 out of 15 awards marking a new record as the most awarded film in the Asian Film Awards history.
 
Previous recipients include Hong Kong director Ann Hui for Life Time Achievement Award in 2012 and Best Director in 2015, and Thailand's Apichatpong Weerasethakul for Best Film in 2011.
