To commemorate Kimsooja’s prize winning of Arts and Culture Prize, Fukuoka Prize 2024, the Special Exhibition of her work was held at Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.

Kimsooja is an artist who vigorously works in the contemporary art world in Asia, Europe, and the United States, and has raised universal questions about the challenges facing our world and our time through the consistent themes of cloth, sewing, wrapping, and unraveling that we encounter in our life. This exhibition introduced her early installation work “Deductive Object,” from the collection of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, as well as series of her representative video works “Needle Woman”.
