Dr. Ramachandra Guha, the Academic Prize laureate of Fukuoka Prize 2015, awarded the Elizabeth Longford Prize 2023.

The prize has been founded in 2003 in the memory of the historical biographer, a British writer and a historian, Elizabeth Longford(1906-2002). The prize celebrates and selects annually from historical biographies which have been published the year before and written in English.
