On the 22nd April, Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam, the Arts and Culture Prize laureate of 1994, who has made great contributions to the continuance and enhancement of Asian musical arts, received the Padma Vibhushan from the Republic of India.

The award is given for the exceptional and distinguished service and commitment in any field of activities and studies.
