The book ‘Death Smells Like Sandalwood’ is a history novel centered on the horrific execution method called ‘death of sandalwood’. The story is set in the early 20th-century China during the German occupational era.
It is translated into 18 languages including English, French, German and Japanese.
The work has been highly acclaimed that the atmosphere of early 20th-century China is interspersed with fairytale imagery and a symphony of horror.
