We would like to invite experst in academic institutions, prestigious arts and culture organizations, and news media from various countries and regions to submit their nominations for the Fukuoka Prize in order to extensively recruit candidates.

If you are eligible to submit nominations, please read the Nomination Guidelines before nominations. Once you enter the necessary information in the online form, or send the completed nomination form(s) by mail or e-mail to the Secretariat of the Fukuoka Prize Committee.

Around July

・We invite nominations from nominators.
・We also accept additional recommendations all year around through the online nomination form from our website outside the invited nomination.

Late September

Deadline for the submission of nomination.

September - December

Preliminary documents of the nominated candidates are prepared by the Secretariat.

Late January - Early February

Selection meetings for the Academic Prize and the Arts and Culture Prize are held.

Early March

The Fukuoka Prize Jury meeting is held.
→The prize winners are selected. (informal decision)

Late May - Early June

The Fukuoka Prize Committee meeting is held.
→The prize winners are officially aknowledged. (official decision)
