On September 17th, the Award Ceremony for the Fukuoka Prize 2015 was held at the International Congress Center.

The ceremony began with a visual art performance produced by students at Kyushu University School of Design. With a help of professors and professional creators, the students have undertaken this huge task for the last few months.

Welcomed by the opening performance, the three prize winners took stage from the audience. A warm round of applause filled the hall as the laureates graciously walked up the stage.

Following the presentation of Certificates and Medals by Mr. Takashima Soichiro, Mayor of Fukuoka City, congratulatory message was given by a representative of the Fukuoka citizens and flower bouquets by the children, concluding part one of the ceremony.

Part Two started off with acceptance speeches by the laureates and their stage interview, followed by a special live performance entitled "Rising Dragon - Towards Asian Unity" co-produced by a Sumi-e Artist Yuki Nishimoto and Kyushu University School of Design. The audience was captivated by the performance turning Nishimoto's blank ink painting into a dynamic visual artwork.
